AREWA24 DRAMA AND FILMS DIVISION

Responsible for the creation/production of AREWA24’s Drama, Films, and commercials. The division is top-rated for the successful production of many seasons of Dadin Kowa, Kwana Casa’in (90 Days), and AREWA24’s quality commercials.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PRODUCTION MANAGER

  • The production manager oversees the initial location scouting and manages any financial arrangements to secure locations.
  • The production manager works with the producers to make a shooting schedule that satisfies the scheduling restrictions of all cast and crew as well as location availability.
  • Ensuring good accounts of personnel, equipment, and locations.
  • Fully work with the producer in sourcing talents for the drama.
  • Coordinates all necessary transportation/logistics for the cast and crew for the duration of the filming schedule.
  • Communicating and accounting for any budgeting changes during production and keeping the producers of any deviations from the initial budget.
  • Working with the producer to ensure all permits and releases have been secured for all locations to be used for production.
  • The production manager serves as a liaison between the producer, director, and all the cast and crew on and off set to ensure that the production is going as planned.
  • Reporting a complete daily production report, which shows how the day’s shooting went and reports any deviations from the master shooting schedule.
  • Ensuring proper communication and good working relationship between the artists and the crew members on daily shooting schedule and any changes.
  • Prepare and communicate production meetings to all concerned
  • Work with the producers and directors during all stages of post-production to ensure the realisation of their vision for the drama

REQUIREMENTS/ EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of National Diploma/NCE
  • Censorship Board Crew registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in film production.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Other certification on films production is an added advantage.
  • Hausa fluency; Some English capabilities desirable.
